This weekend, I will be going to Truckee. Not many people know where this is, so i just say Tahoe. I go every year, and it's always really fun. This year, after snowboarding for four years, going to try skiing. My parents said it's easier to control, but when you fall down it's hard to get back up. I just want to see the difference in skiing and snowboarding. Other than that, I'm not doing anything new this weekend. My dad said we were going to leave on Friday morning, at 5 A.M. I really hate waking up that early, and I probably will have to sleep early on Thursday. We plan to get to Truckee around 9 to meet up with my aunt and uncle to take skiing lessons together.
Other than snowboarding and skiing, we always play in the front or backyard of our cabin. My dad's side of the family is going, and my aunt Mimi from my mom's side. We always build forts, have snowball fights, or make a snowman. One year, we made a tunnel, well my uncles made it for us. It was in the shape of a + sign. The next day the tunnel froze, so we got to sit on top of it. Another year we made seats inside our fort just to sit down. Last year, we made a trail around the backyard because the snow was soft and deep, it went up to my knee sometimes. It was fun trying to get around in the snow, lifting my foot up was hard though. My little cousin who is 6 got stuck and got his foot trapped in our trail.
This year, I don't know what we'll do. It depends at what place we stay at. Two years ago, we had a cabin that had a ping pong table, and a slot machine. I liked playing with the slot machine, and eventually broke it. My cousin and sister fixed it for me though. After that, I never touched that machine again...except my cousin broke it a day after we just fixed it. We usually stay at a new place every time, and hopefully this house will be decent.
